A humble store-bought spiral gets a delicious upgrade with this air fryer spiral ham, coated in an orange, brown sugar glaze. The glaze comes together in 2 minutes, with simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry!

I don't know what it is, but holiday ham is a vibe to me. Wait, let me rephrase. All the holiday meats are a vibe to me.
I distinctly remember holiday hams with the little squishy packet attached to them, with a mystery sugar glaze. I won't lie, they were delicious. But, nothing beats a homemade glaze with ingredients I know and can pronounce.
Lay this ham on your holiday table alongside a classic roast turkey, some juicy prime rib, and some creamy mashed potatoes. Finish the meal off with white chocolate Christmas crack, and the holidays are sorted!

Collecting all your ingredients - This will make cooking so much easier. Gather all the spices you will need, and keep them nearby.
In a mixing bowl, mix together the ingredients for the orange glaze.
Transfer the ham to the air fryer basket, and liberally spread the ham with the glaze. Try and get the glaze into the spiral cuts as well, for extra flavour.
Air fry the ham for 30 minutes at 375°F. Monitor the ham while cooking, as depending on your air fryer the glaze may brown faster.
A Note About Air Fryers
While air fryers are amazing, their power, sizes and cooking times vary greatly at times. This recipe is based on the air fryer that I use in my kitchen. Please note that cooking times may vary based on the specific brand that you use in your kitchen. For this reason, always keep an eye on your food while cooking. You may need to adjust cooking times up or down based on the brand you are using.
Substitutions
- Spiral cut ham: This glaze will work well with a larger pork picnic roast as well, if you are feeding a larger crowd.
- Orange marmalade: You may use some orange juice concentrate in place of orange marmalade.
- Dijon/grainy mustard: Feel free to use all of one type of mustard, if that is what you have on hand.
Variations
- Brown sugar: Omit the orange marmalade and make this a mustard brown sugar ham
- Retro: Top with rings of canned pineapple for a retro twist!
Equipment
This is what I used to make this recipe - Please be mindful that different equipment and cooking utensils may yield varying results. Most of my favourite equipment can be found on my storefront.
Storage
This ham keeps well in the fridge for 2-3 days, in an airtight container.
You can also freeze any leftovers for up to 6 months, as long as it is stored in an airtight, freezer-safe container or plastic bag.
Reheat in the air fryer or in the oven, covered in foil.
