Why This Recipe Works
One simple step! There are no fancy methods required to make this summer cocktail. All you need to do is add all the ingredients to a blender, and serve! If blend and serve cocktails are your jam, you'll love a refreshing mangorita, too!
Not overly boozy! This slushie is not overly boozy, for those who may not love the flavour of wine or alcohol. The result is a fruity, delicious slushie with a hint of rosé in the background. If you are a fan of slushy, fruity drinks, you will love a refreshing Bailey's piña colada, too!
Use your favourite rosé! This is the perfect recipe to use your favourite rosé wine. It does not need to be overly expensive, or fancy!
Ingredients
- Sparkling rosé: Rosé is a variety of red wine, that is less fermented than standard red wine. I like to use sparkling wine for this frosé recipe, as the the carbonation from the wine adds a bright element to this recipe.
- Fresh strawberries: I like to use fresh strawberries when they are in season. You can however, use frozen strawberries instead if you can't find sweet strawberries, or they are not in season.
- Granulated sugar
- Fresh lime juice

Instructions
Prep Work Before Cooking
Collecting all your ingredients - This will make cooking so much easier. Gather all the spices you will need, and keep them nearby.
Prep the strawberries - Cut the tops off of the strawberries, and slice the strawberries so they blend evenly.
Add the rosé, strawberries, sugar and lime juice to a blender. Top with ice, and blend until the ice is crushed and the strawberries are smooth.
Expert Tip
You can control the consistency of this slushie! If you prefer a smoother consistency, add less ice to the mixture. If you prefer a thicker slush, add more ice. I recommend starting with less ice, and adding more gradually to get to the thickness you want.
Substitutions
- Sparkling rosé: You can use regular rosé wine, instead of sparkling.
- Granulated sugar: You can substitute with agave syrup, or simple syrup if you have it on hand.
- Lime juice: Lemon juice will also work for this recipe.
- Fresh strawberries: You can add concentrated strawberry flavor to this frose with homemade strawberry syrup, too!
