- Ground mustard: Ground mustard is sometimes labelled as mustard powder in the spice aisle. I use regular ground mustard for this recipe, not "hot" or "spicy" mustard powder that you can sometimes find.
- Soy sauce: You will need regular light soy sauce for this sauce. Light soy sauce is the most commonly found variety in most grocery stores. If it does not say "dark" soy sauce on the label, chances are it is light soy sauce.
- Fresh garlic: Fresh garlic is key for this dipping sauce, since it does not get cooked down. Jarred garlic has a slightly acidic, muted flavor that does not taste great when it is raw.
- Heavy cream: Sometimes labelled as whipping cream. Look for something with 35% fat.
