  • In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook gently until fragrant (about 30 seconds to 1 minute).

  • Sprinkle the flour into the garlic and butter mixture. Whisk the flour into the butter thoroughly. Cook the roux (about 1-2 minutes).

  • While continuing to whisk, slowly pour the milk into the cooked roux. Once the milk is combined, slowly pour the heavy cream into the mixture.
    1 cup Whole milk, ¾ cup Heavy cream
  • Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and allow the mixture to thicken (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Lower the heat. Gradually whisk in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Taste the sauce for salt, and season to your taste.
